While Liberals Flip Out Over Cruz ‘Porn Like’ Scandal, Just Look What Showed Up in Democrat’s Closet

As most people were about to fall asleep on Monday night, a very controversial tweet that was liked by Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) Twitter account surfaced and quickly started trending.

However, liberals who were focused on the Texas senator have completely forgotten about their fellow Democratic senator, who is the first sitting senator facing a federal bribery charge in nine years.

But it doesn’t stop there, however. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) has been reported to go on “sex trips” and pay women to have sex with him in his own home.

Let’s start with the tweet that was liked on Ted Cruz’s Twitter account:

Twitter then proceeded to unload on the Texas senator:

Catherine Frazier, the senior communications adviser to Cruz, responded to the tweet in a statement shortly after:

Many suspect that the tweet that was liked on Cruz’s account was likely performed by an intern or staffer, who made a mistake. But Democrats are clearly forgetting that one of their own senators is currently involved in a far larger scandal.

The New York Post reports:

Sen. Robert Menendez mobilized his staff to secure a visa for a Brazilian actress who posed nude on the cover of Sexy magazine; he stepped up for a sultry Ukrainian student who wanted a plastic-surgery consult; and he directd a staff member to “call Ambassador asap” in order to reverse a visa denial to a 22-year-old Dominican model.

The young women were all paramours of Dr. Salomon Melgen, 60, a married eye doctor and one of Menendez’s biggest donors, prosecutors charge.

Menendez is accused of using his power and influence to benefit Melgen in exchange for almost $1 million in gifts and campaign contributions.

On top of Menendez facing federal bribery charges, he is also involved in a large sex scandal. You won’t see this trending on Twitter, however.

The Daily Caller reports:

The executive director of National Republican Senatorial Committee said Thursday that New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez “may have violated Senate ethics rules and federal campaign finance laws” with his alleged sex trip to the Dominican Republic.

The two women claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, and that they each received only $100.

Gawker reports:

“We lived below him,” the former neighbor told Gawker (according to public records databases, both Menendez and the former neighbor used to share an address in Northeast DC). “It was outrageous. When it started, we thought it was a one-time thing. But it went on for months-hours and hours of headbanging sex.”

When the Senate was in session, the former neighbor said, Menendez would usually stay at the DC apartment on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings-on weekends, Mondays, and Fridays, he would go back to his New Jersey home. Of those three weeknights, the neighbor said, Menendez usually spent at least two with a constantly rotating gallery of attractive, young, and loud women.

“They’d usually arrive together in the late evening,” the neighbor said. “We’d hear him put some jazz on. Maybe around 11 p.m., the noise would start. He had a very squeaky mattress and a very squeaky bed frame. We’d hear moaning, and we could hear them switching positions because different parts of the bed would squeak. It was awful.”

Without fail, the neighbor said, these women would leave Menendez’s apartment at 3 a.m. and get in a cab. “My wife would be up because of the noise, and she’d watch them out the window,” the neighbor said. “They were always in like four-inch heels, and it was definitely a different one every time. Different women on back-to-back nights. These were very young, very attractive women.”

So while all eyes have been on Ted Cruz for the alleged accidental liking of a tweet, there has been a legitimate scandal that many don’t even know about.
